There are many Independent Senior Living Communities now that once you have made the decision to move, where to move is the next and often the most difficult question to be addressed. There are several points of interest one should be aware of when searching for what should be their last move. Some communities, (particularly Continuing Care Retirement Communities or CCRC’s and Life Care Communities), require a sizable down payment or “entrance fee,” just to move in. Afterwards, the resident is required to pay a monthly fee, usually based on the size of their apartment and number of occupants, which can be anywhere from $1500-$4000 a month and up. The entrance fee is, in some cases partially refundable once the resident vacates the apartment and the apartment has either been sold or an agreed upon amount of time has passed. Most CCRC’s and Life Care Communities refer to this as a lifetime lease on the apartment, rather than a buy-in. City Center Village offers residents an incredible package of services and amenities included with the affordable monthly service fee, with no buy-in or entrance fee! Residents pay a small community fee, which is refundable prior to move-in. (From now until October 1st our community fee is $650.00). For those who bring their small pet, a one time non refundable fee is required, and for residents who opt for an emergency medical alert pendant, there is a one time, $100.00 fee and the monthly monitoring fee is covered in your rent! All utilities, local phone service, WiFi, expanded cable + HBO, three meals daily, local transportation and weekly housekeeping are just some of the things your monthly fee will cover at City Center Village.
